Kitchen Manager

Community Meal is a time for any local people to get a free hot meal and dessert for lunch. Alongside good company and food we also have games, an inclusive art group, and a cosy corner with things like fidget toys and other sensory items. Community Meal sees 50+ people come for lunch every week during term time, many of whom have additional needs and visit with their carers or day centres. It's a warm welcoming atmosphere that is open to all and a great space to eat together and chat to new people. Your role would be to prepare and serve the meal, as well as pack down the kitchen and manage the kitchen volunteer/s to do the same. You will also be in charge of maintaining the food hygiene standards whilst preparing, serving and storing food on a Tuesday, as well as communicating allergens to those who attend.
